Reinforcing bilateral cooperation with South Korea
The Da Nang People's Council Vice Chairman, Mr Nguyen Nho Trung, recently played host to a delegation from southern cities in South Korea’s Gyeonggi Province, led by the Chairman of Suwon City Council, Mr Kim Jin-woo.
Vice Chairman Trung stressed the need to promote the implementation of bilateral cooperative programmes which have been signed with Gyeonggi Province’s southern cities. He also took the opportunity to ask the South Korean localities to boost bilateral cooperation with his city in tourism, hi-tech and information technology industries.

The South Korean guests remarked upon the need for the 2 sides to boost those bilateral cooperative relationships already agreed. In addition, the focus will be on developing bilateral cooperative relations between Da Nang and more localties in Gyeonggi Province.
Da Nang is now home to 53 valid FDI projects from South Korea, with a total investment of 734 million USD. In addition, 14 of the city’s businesses have trade relationships with partners in South Korea.
To date, the city has established bilateral friendship and cooperation with such South Korean localities as Gyeonggi Province’s Hwaseong City, North Gyeongsang Province’s Daegu City, and South Gyeongsang Province’s Masan and Changwon cities.
