At the 4^th Open Congress of the Da Nang Party Committee (PC) on Wednesday, PC Secretary Nguyen Xuan Anh underlined the urgency to attract new investment inflows into the city, especially foreign direct investments, as well as tighten the management of food safety and hygiene in order to protect residents’ health.

Secretary Anh stressed the need for local relevant agencies to issue more preferential policies for foreign investors, simplify investment procedures, and enhance the efficiency of tax collecting.  Importance will be attached to speeding up the construction of key local projects and effectively implementing the city’s ‘Year for Culture and Urban Civilisation’ programme.

Secretary Anh presenting emulation flags to 3 outstanding PC chapters

Secretary Anh asked relevant agencies to set up a Steering Committee for Food Safety and Hygiene in order to increase checks and management of unsafe food in the city. 

Also at the event, 3 PC chapters were awarded emulation flags from the municipal PC, and 8 other ones received certificates of merit from the municipal PC, in recognition of their outstanding achievements during the 2010 - 2015 period.
