As already reported in Da Nang Today, during yesterday’s review meeting of the ‘Studying and Following President Ho Chi Minh’s Moral Example’ campaign over the 2011 - 2016 period held at Da Nang’s Trung Vuong Theatre, a total of 74 groups and individuals were honoured for their outstanding achievements. 

In detail, Certificates of Merit from the Vietnamese Prime Minister were presented to a total of 10 groups and individuals at the event.  Meanwhile, a total of 64 local groups and individuals, including the Party organisation of the Da Nang Newspaper, were awarded with Certificates of Merit from the municipal Party Committee.

Addressing the event, municipal Party Committee Secretary Nguyen Xuan Anh emphasised: ‘The people of Da Nang always do good deeds, show civilised behaviour, and make great efforts for their hometown and Fatherland as a whole”.  He added that local residents have enhanced the spirit of solidarity and consensus in order to make Da Nang a more modern, civilised, peaceful and prosperous city in the future, and shown their dedication and devotion for the country’s progress.

Secretary Anh also asked local Party members and government officials, especially the leaders of authorities at all levels, to uphold their sense of responsibility, set good examples for others to follow, listen to the opinions and aspirations of local residents, and promote the fight against such negative phenomena as bureaucracy and imperiousness towards their subordinates.
