On Monday, the Da Nang People’s Committee Vice Chairman, Mr Dang Viet Dung, praised local relevant agencies for their great efforts in effectively implementing the city's key tasks over the past year.

From now until the end of this year, the focus will be on further promoting the ‘Year for Culture and Urban Civilisation’ programme, and effectively deploying the campaign ‘The City of 4 Safe Programmes’ which aims to ensure security, traffic safety, food safety and hygiene, and social welfare for local residents.

In addition, importance will also be attached to effectively implementing the resolutions of the 21^st Congress of the municipal Party Committee for the 2015 - 2020 tenure.

Heed will also be paid to widely publicising the forthcoming elections for the 14^th National Assembly and all-level People's Councils of the 2016-2021 tenure, which will take place on 22 May.

Greater effort will be made to offer suggestions to the city authorities about how to enhance the efficiency of administrative procedure management in local departments and agencies.

Attention will also be paid to organising a patriotic emulation movement for all local residents to mark 20 years since the city’s recognition as a centrally-governed city on 1 January 1997.

Finally, another focus will be on ensuring the effective implementation of democratic regulations and public relations.

The Department of Information and Communications was given an emulation flag from the municipal People’s Committee in recognition of its remarkable achievements in leading the patriotic emulation movements of the city’s government agencies in 2015.
