PM arrives in Nagoya for Japan visit

Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc arrived in Nagoya city of Japan’s Aichi prefecture on the afternoon of May 26 (Viet Nam time) for an official visit to Japan and to attend the expanded G7 Summit Japan 2016.

Immediately after his arrival, the PM is scheduled to attend a high-level economic policy dialogue between Viet Nam and Japan and have bilateral meetings with leaders of several countries attending the expanded G7 summit.

During the stay, PM Phuc will hold talks with his Japanese counterpart Shinzo Abe, during which they are expected to discuss major orientations and specific measures to intensify the two countries’ relations in the fields of politics, economics, trade, investment, supporting industry, agriculture, climate change response, health, education and training, and science and technology.

Japan is the first G7 member country to have established a strategic partnership with Viet Nam and recognised Viet Nam’s market economy.
