Speaking at a recent meeting in Da Nang to strengthen the Party’s attempts to detect and deal with corruption, municipal Party Committee Secretary Nguyen Xuan Anh asked relevant agencies to do their utmost in the city’s fight against corruption and waste.

Secretary Anh urged the agencies to speed up the handling of as yet unresolved cases of waste and corruption.  He also took the opportunity to warn that any local government employees or Party members found to be involved in corruption will receive strict punishments.

He added that heads of departments and agencies whose employees are involved in corruption will also be charged as offenders.  He asked local government employees to strictly implement the central conclusion No 120-KL/TW regarding ensuring democracy in combination with transparency and openness.
