A delegation of leaders from Bolikhamsai Province in Laos, led by its Mayor Kongkeo Xaysongkham, was recently warmly welcomed by Da Nang Party Committee Secretary Nguyen Xuan Anh.

During his reception, Secretary Anh highly praised the visit made by his Laotian guests for strengthening the special and long-lasting friendship between the two countries.

He added that his city, over recent years, has promoted bilateral cooperation with some of the southern localities in Laos in such aspects as education, healthcare, agriculture and urban planning. 

The city’s leader also emphasied, “Da Nang always gives its priority to bolstering bilateral cooperative ties with Laotian localities and lifting their fruitful relationships to new levels”.  He believed that Bolikhamsai Province would gain even more achievements during its socio-economic progress in order to increase the living standards of its residents in future years.

In reply, Mayor Xaysongkham affirmed that his visit aimed to understand more about Da Nang’s socio-economic progress and learn more from the city’s valuable experiences in urban planning, infrastructure construction and traffic improvements.  He added that his locality is willing to promote bilateral cooperation in tourism and other aspects in which the two localities have great potential. 

He hoped that Da Nang would achieve even more success in the future to justify its position as one of Viet Nam’s most modern and dynamic cities.
