Da Nang Party Committee Deputy Secretary Vo Cong Tri added, “The local authorities should now make preparations for the upcoming 1st sessions of the all-level People’s Councils (PCls) with the aim of electing the key officials of the PCls and People’s Committees”.
He also stressed the need to issue specific regulations for the operation of PCls and People’s Committees at all levels, to widely publicise the national Law on the Organisation of Local Governments, and to build strong and transparent authorities at all levels.
Also at the meeting, the municipal People’s Committee honoured and rewarded 28 groups and 31 individuals in recognition of their active involvement in ensuring the success of the 5-yearly elections.
