Representatives from the municipal and provincial Party Committees (PCs) of the 13 localities in the central region and highlands recently gathered in Da Nang to give their opinions on draft revisions to the Party Central Committee’s regulations issued in 2011 on implementing the Charter of the Party.

There were discussions about the layout of the Party’s Charter, the educational background of Party members, punishments for Party members who violate the Charter, and procedures for transferring Party members from one Party organisation to another.

The participants’ opinions about the above-mentioned issues will be collected and then submitted to the Party Central Committee for consideration at its 3^rd Congress which will take place next month.

Addressing the event, Da Nang PC Secretary Nguyen Xuan Anh remarked that the municipal PC is striving to build a strong and transparent Party organisation, promote democracy, and uphold consensus amongst local authorities and residents.

He also said he would like central government agencies and the authorities of other regional localities to continue helping his city effectively promote its Party-building work, and its other patriotic movements as a whole, which in turn will ensure the city’s sustainable development.
