A ceremony to announce the establishment of the Da Nang People’s Council (PCl) Office took place in the city on Monday.

At the ceremony, Mr Doan Xuan Hieu, Deputy Chief of the Office of the municipal National Assembly (NA) Members’ Group and PCl Secretariat, was promoted to be Chief of the municipal PCl Office Secretariat.  The Deputy Chiefs of the Office of the municipal NA Members’ Group and PCl Secretariat, Mr Nguyen Ngoc Binh, Mr Le Xuan Hoa and Mr Le Duc Vien, were all appointed to be Deputy Chiefs of the municipal PCl Office Secretariat.

Addressing the event, municipal PCl Chairman Tran Tho stressed the need for the staff members of the newly-established office to enhance the spirit of solidarity and do their utmost to fulfil their assigned tasks.

The PCl Office has its own seal, legal status and bank account, and it will be responsible for giving suggestions to the PCl’s Standing Board and its members about how to handle local issues.  In addition, the office’s staff will also become actively involved in receiving and dealing with complaints and recommendations made by local organisations and residents.
