He also highlighted the documents released at the 12th Congress regarding new innovations in the country’s institutional improvement, its socialist-oriented market mechanism, and other issues relating to defence and security, diplomatic policies, and socio-economic development.
The Deputy Head of the Party Central Committee’s Commission for Publicity and Training, Mr Mai Van Ninh, remarked that press and publishing activities play a vital role in publicising the Congress resolutions. Therefore, he urged media agencies in the region to publicise the resolutions to local Party members, government officials and residents and to promote the implementation of patriotic movements to fulfil socio-economic tasks and ensure security and defence in the region.
Importance should be attached to publishing articles honouring those doing good deeds and strictly criticising any negative phenomena in society in the current context of the country’s industrialisation and modernisation and its global integration.
He also took the opportunity to appeal for journalists and reporters to uphold their work ethics and raise their sense of social responsibility to justify their positions as soldiers on the cultural and ideological front.
