The Director of the Tourism Department, Mr Ngo Quang Vinh, asked permission from the central government for the city to be able to grant investment licences for projects worth between 3,000 and 5,000 billion VND. In addition, approval by the central government should be given to extending the validity of tourist visas for foreigners from 15 to 30 days in order to encourage them to stay longer in the city.
Deputy Head Duong stressed the need for Da Nang to continue its efforts to diversify its entertainment and tourism services in order to encourage longer visitor stay periods.
