During the first half of this year, the Da Nang Union of Friendship Organisations (DAFO) gained numerous positive results from its people-to-people exchange activities with overseas Vietnamese, and from its activities involving political, economic and cultural diplomacy.

Over the period, the focus was on effectively preserving and promoting bilateral friendship and cooperative relations with the city’s foreign friends and partners.  In addition, local relevant agencies have made great efforts to effectively implement the city’s people-to-people exchange policy with its motto of independence, self-control, diversification, multilateralisation, dynamism, and creativity.

For the remaining months of this year, special attention will be paid to launching the ‘All People Unite to Upgrade New Rural Areas and Build a Civilised Urban Lifestyle’ campaign in the city.

Also, heed will be paid to developing a ‘people-to-people exchange’ section in the DA NANG Newspaper print publication, and designing a compact disc featuring such content.
