Vice Chairman Trung hoped that the visit would help the two localities to increase their mutual understanding, and boost their bilateral cooperative relationship in various aspects.  Included are cultural exchange activities, employee exchange programmes, and public services cooperation.

The city leader took the opportunity to appeal for more businesses from Anseong City, and South Korea as a whole, to promote their investment activities into Da Nang, with a focus on investing in the local hi-tech industry.

In reply, the South Korean Chairman hoped that the relationship with Da Nang would be further strengthened in the years ahead.

Currently, South Korea is the largest foreign investor in Da Nang with 56 projects worth over 751.6 million USD in total.

Over the first half of this year, the city earned 11 million USD from exporting goods to South Korea.  In addition, the number of South Korean visitors to the city during the 6-month period accounted for 26.13% of the city’s total international tourist arrivals, the second highest number of international visitors to the city after China.
