Secretary Anh remarked that the visit would open up many bilateral cooperative opportunities in education and training, in which the city has great strengths and is seeing rapid growth.

The city leader noted, “Taking advantage of having numerous large universities, Da Nang is attracting an increasing number of students from other regional localities.  The city is now home to 2 international universities, and they have operated very effectively over recent years”.

The host added, “I hope even more high-quality international educational institutes will be established in the city in the near future, including those under the management of CINEC.  Such establishments will further develop the city’s education sector, and local trainees will have more opportunities to enhance their foreign language skills”.

He vowed that the city authorities and local education sector would create very favourable conditions for the Canadian group to ensure the efficiency of its investment and cooperation activities in the city.

In reply, Mr Tom Harris revealed that British Columbia offshore schools and CINEC Education Group are developing strategic plans to expand their international education system into localities in other countries worldwide, including Da Nang.

Also at the meeting, the city’s investment environment policies were introduced to the guests to help them seek investment opportunities.
