On Monday, Secretary of the Da Nang Party Committee Nguyen Xuan Anh played host to the founder of the Berjaya Corporation Berhad (BCorp) from Malaysia, Mr Tan Sri Dato' Seri Vincent Tan Chee Yioun (Vincent Tan), who was visiting the city to learn about the local investment climate.

Secretary Anh proudly said, “Da Nang is recording an average annual growth rate of around 30% in such aspects as real estate, apartments and luxury resorts.  This positive result plays a significant role in promoting the development of the local tourism services and trading activities”.

The city leader remarked, “Da Nang is likely to have welcomed over 5.1 million visitors by the end of this year, including more than 1.5 million foreigners.  The city has been attracting a large number of prestigious investors from both home and abroad, including the BCorp”.

The host hoped the BCorp would soon implement suitable investment projects in the city in order to boost local growth and promote its economic development.

In reply, Mr Tan applauded the creative and flexible management capabilities made by the city’s leaders to ensure local progress.

He remarked, “Thanks to its synchronous infrastructure and preferential investment climate, Da Nang has been attracting a large number international investors to put their money into such aspects as tourism, real estate, and luxury apartment projects”.  He also noted that his group would soon implement some projects in the city.

Currently, BCorp is one of the largest Malaysian investors in Viet Nam.  To date, it has deployed numerous large-scale projects in Ha Noi and Ho Chi Minh City.
