National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan will attend the 137^th Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) Assembly and related meetings in Russia from 14-15 October and pay an official visit to the Republic of Kazakhstan from 16-18 October.

Her participation in the 137^th IPU Assembly and related meeting is made at the invitation of IPU President Saber Chowdhury, Chairwoman of the Federation Council of Russia Valentina Ivanovna Matviyenko, and Chairman of the State Duma of Russia Vyacheslav Volodin.

She will later visit Kazakhstan at the invitation of Chairman of the Senate of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym Zhomart Tokayev, and Chairman of the Mazhilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan Nurlan Nigmatulin.

The events are part of the external activities of the National Assembly of Viet Nam in 2017.
