Indian Coast Guard ship starts 4-day courtesy visit to the city

On Monday morning, the Indian Coast Guard ship VIJIT, carrying 105 officers and crew members, docked at Da Nang’s Tien Sa Port to begin a 4-day courtesy visit to the city from 1- 4 April.

The visit aims to strengthen the bilateral friendship and cooperation between Vietnamese and Indian coastguard forces, contributing to ensuring the security and stability in the region, and the world as a whole.

During their 3-day stay in the city, the Indian guests will visit the My Son Sanctuary in Quang Nam Province, as well as participate in sports exchange activities with their colleagues from the Zone 3 Naval High Command.

In addition, the Indian officers and crew members will join with Vietnamese maritime police officers to carry out search and rescue exercises at sea.

Earlier, the Viet Nam coast guard vessel 8001 (CSB8001) paid a coutersy visit to India from 2 - 6 October 2018.
