Deputy Secretary Tri expressed his delight at the fine development of the bilateral ties with Champasak Province over recent years. He also believed this visit made by the delegation would help to strengthen the exchange activities and cooperative relations between the two localities in the coming years.
The host said his city effectively implemented many projects totalling around 4.2 billion VND in the Laotian province during the 2013 - 2017 period. The majority of these projects were involved in granting scholarships for Lao students in Da Nang, building infrastructure, and upgrading the Pakse county town into the city.
Currently, the two localities are focusing on implementing the Memorandum of Understanding signed for the 2018-2022 period in such aspects of education and training, urban planning, and human resource training.
For his part, Deputy Secretary Niphone Viengpasueth said he was very impressed with the city’s rapid socio-economic growth in recent years.
He also took the opportunity to thank the Party, government and people of Da Nang for their special affection for his province over recent years.
The Laotian guest hoped that the bilateral relations with Da Nang would be lifted to new heights in the future.
