PM chairs first gov't meeting via e-Cabinet system
Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc chaired the first government meeting via e-Cabinet system that debuted in Ha Noi on June 24.

As many as 21 government members available approved the draft resolution on proposing the building of a decree regulating electronic identification and verification, and four others voted yes via the system.
The PM later pressed the button to sign the resolution.
E-Cabinet system is able to update, store and manage documents for government meetings, as well as offer electronic voting with digital signatures. It also sends SMS, emails and notifications to Cabinet members.
The system aims to cut 30 percent of time during government meetings later this year, minimise the use of paper documents which will be replaced with electronic ones, except confidential ones.
The launch of the system reflects the government’s determination in administrative reform, towards achieving a paperless government in a roadmap towards building e-government.
