On Friday, Da Nang Party Committee Secretary Truong Quang Nghia hosted a reception for Mr Nurlan Nigmatulin, Chairman of the Mazhilis (lower house) of the Parliament of Kazakhstan, who is making a working trip in Viet Nam.

Secretary Nghia briefed his guest on his city’s progress over recent years and its orientations for making more socio-economic breakthroughs in the coming time.

The host also asked for help from Chairman Nurlan Nigmatulin to boost the bilateral ties between Da Nang and localities of Kazakhstan, as well as appeal for even more investors from his country to pour their money into the city's priority aspects, with a focus on tourism, services, real estates, seaports, aviation, logistics, hi-tech, information technology, electronics, and telecommunications.

In reply, Mr Nurlan Nigmatulin thanked the city leader for his warm welcome. He also affirmed Viet Nam was always an important partner of Kazakhstan in Southeast Asia.

The guest said he was very impressed with the city’s strong growth over recent years. He remarked that  Da Nang and Kazakhstan boast a lot of cooperation potential in the aspects of seaports, textiles and garments, after his visits to the Hoa Tho Textiles and Garments Company and the Tien Sa Port in the city.
