Da Nang People’s Committee Vice Chairman Ho Ky Minh, on Thursday, visited and extended New Year wishes to staff of the Consulate General of Russia in Da Nang.

Vice Chairman Minh remarked some cooperative and exchange activities between Da Nang and Russian localities have been disrupted over the year due to the tremendously negative impacts of the global Covid-19 crisis.

He took the opportunity to ask for a helping hand from Russian Consul General in Da Nang Plam Andrey Yurievich to encourage more investors from his country to pour money into Da Nang following successful containment of the global Covid-19 pandemic in the near future.

In reply, the Russian diplomat commended government and people of Da Nang, and those of Viet Nam at large, for their efforts in successfully containing Covid-19 pandemic.

Also, the Russian ambassador thanked Da Nang government for providing active support for Russian citizens stranded in the city, and for treating foreign Covid-19 patients, including those from his country.

He vowed to do his utmost to lift the bilateral ties with Russian localities to a new height in the time to come.
