Over 192 billion VND for supporting poor mothers and children in Da Nang
During the 2015 -2020 period, the Da Nang Association of Charities and Children's Rights Protection and its chapters across the city have together raised more than 192 billion VND in total from generous donors from both home and overseas for their charitable activities.

The figure was released by the Association at its 6th Congress for the 2020-2025 tenure in Da Nang on Wednesday.
In his remarks at the event, Da Nang People’s Committee Chairman Le Trung Chinh highly hailed the Association for its significant achievements over its past tenure, hereby, helping the city to fulfil its target of ensuring social welfare and poverty reduction.
Mr Chinh also urged the Association to continue asking for help from generous domestic and foreign donors to support poor children and needy people in Da Nang.
At the Congress, the new 38-member Executive Board and the 11-member Standing Board of the Association were voted.
Mrs Le Thi Tam was re-appointed Chairwoman of the Association for the 2020 - 2025 tenure. Da Nang People’s Committee Chairman Le Trung Chinh was elected to be Honourary Chairman of the Association.
Also, the Association received an emulation flag from the Viet Nam Association for Protection of Child's Rights in recognition of its leading role in the protection of children's rights in 2020.
Twenty organisations and individuals across Da Nang were honoured for their dedication and commitment over the past 5 years with Certificates of Merit from Da Nang People’s Committee.
