On Thursday, some of Da Nang’s leaders paid inspection visits to some businesses and construction sites of some key projects in the city.

At the construction site of the installation of water pipelines running from the Hoa Lien Water Supply Plant to the Road No 2 in the Hoa Khanh Industrial Park, municipal People’s Committee Chairman Le Trung Chinh highlighted the significance of the building of the Hoa Lien Water Plant to ensure the sufficient water supply for homes and businesses, thereby helping to driving the city’s growth.

He took the opportunity to ask the Da Nang Water Supply Company, the project’s developer, to make every effort to ensure the on-schedule progress of the project, and assure the safety at the construction site.

During his visit to the construction site of a project to dredge the 25 km-long Co Co River, Chairman Chinh remarked the project is dubbed as a new breakthrough for socio-economic progress of Da Nang and its neighbour Quang Nam Province, as well as clearly demonstrated a win-win cooperation for mutual interests between the two localities.

The Da Nang government chief underlined the importance of the project, which flows through parts of both localities, in facilitating Hoi An and Da Nang to speed up their future urban expansion schemes, hereby positively helping boost their socio-economic development strides.

He emphasised, in the coming time, the landscape of the both banks of the Co Co River will be architecturally designed in association with developing urban areas and reconstructing residential areas in order to ensure a synchronous transport infrastructure with connection between the two localities.

On the same day, Da Nang People’s Committee Vice Chairman Ho Ky Minh visited and extended his Tet wishes to leaders and staff of the Da Nang branch of the Viet Nam Bank for Social Policies (VBSP).

He highly appreciated the bank’s outstanding achievements during last year. He hoped that the bank would do its utmost to fulfil its assigned tasks, and become actively involved in the city’s progress, and its social welfare activities.

He asked the bank to offer preferential credit packages for local residents in need in order to help them pay their land use fees. Also, he suggested the bank conduct a quick survey on the living standards of families living below and near the city's poverty thresholds in order to launch timely other credit packages for them in order to help them overcome their COVID-19-triggered financial hardship.

During his visit to the construction site of the 3^rd stage of the technical infrastructure development project at the Da Nang Hi-Tech Park and the Cam Le Industrial Cluster, Vice Chairman Minh pledged that the local authorities would facilitate investors to implement their projects on schedule.
