Da Nang leaders pay tribute to heroic martyrs on its Liberation Day
A group of Da Nang leaders, led by municipal Party Committee Secretary Nguyen Van Quang, on Monday offered incense and laid wreaths in tribute to heroic martyrs at the 2 September Peace Monument and the Hoa Vang District Martyrs’ Memorial in recognition of the 91st founding anniversary of the municipal Party Committee (28 March) and the 46th anniversary of the city’s Liberation Day (29 March).

The participants observed a minute’s silence to commemorate late President Ho Chi Minh, the heroic martyrs who laid down their lives for the nation’s re-unification, the Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, and those who gave great service to the national revolution.

In front of the hallowed memorial to the heroic martyrs, Da Nang leaders vowed that the municipal authorities, the city-based armed forces, and the people of Da Nang will forever remember the service and sacrifice made by the heroic martyrs for Viet Nam's independence and reunion, as well as continue to uphold their consensus and solidarity, and do their utmost to make Da Nang even more civilised and prosperous in the years ahead.
