Developing Da Nang into national innovative startup hub
As for its key tasks set for 2021, the Da Nang Department of Science and Technology must seriously and effectively implement the building of the 2nd phase of the Da Nang Innovative Startup Portal, and deploying a virtual reality exhibition platform integrated and operated on the Portal to contributing to realising Da Nang’s ambition to become a national innovative startup hub.

Besides, importance should be attached to promoting administrative reform in the science and technology sector, and developing tech trading platforms, supporting enterprises to boost their technological innovations and market expansions.
The aforementioned specific instructions were made by municipal Party Committee Secretary Nguyen Van Quang during his Wednesday meeting with city key leaders, and representatives from the Da Nang Department of Science and Technology.
The municipal Party chief emphasized the fact that building Da Nang into a national innovation startup hub in Central Viet Nam and Central Highlands is one of the most important tasks Da Nang science and technology industry must fulfill in the coming years.
Meanwhile, municipal Party Committee Deputy Secretary cum municipal People's Council Chairman Luong Nguyen Minh Triet suggested that the Department of Science and Technology submit its suggestions to the municipal administration on developing the city’s so-called One Commune-One Product (OCOP) model and creating job opportunities for Da Nang farmers.
At the same time, it is need to support the Hoa Vang District authorities in transferring hi-tech agricultural techniques to farmers, and multiplying effective production models.
In 2020, Da Nang science and technology was one of the five economic sectors making the most outstanding contribution to the city’s progress, Director of the Department of Science and Technology Le Duc Vien said.
