Repatriated remains of 14 unknown martyrs reburied in Da Nang cemetery
A memorial service and the re-burial of the repatriated remains of 14 unknown martyrs took place at the Da Nang Martyrs’ Cemetery based in Hoa Khuong Commune, Hoa Vang District on Monday.

The rituals were conducted by Da Nang Steering Committee for Search and Collection of Martyrs' Remains, saw the attendance of municipal Party Committee Secretary Nguyen Van Quang, People’s Committee Vice Chairman Le Quang Nam and Head of the Publicity and Training Department Propaganda Department under the Party Committee Nguyen Dinh Vinh.
The 14 heroic martyrs, hailing from nationwide localities, served for Company No 2, Task Force No 89, the Quang Da Special Zone. They laid down their lives for the nation’s reunification on February 23, 1969, and all of them were then buried along the banks of the Cam Le River.
“Da Nang, the land enriched by revolutionary traditions and ardent patriotism, is ready to embrace martyrs with its arms wide open for their rest in peace”, said Vice Chairman Nam said emotionally.
