Da Nang officials, public servants make donations to support the country's efforts against COVID-19

The staff of the Office of the Da Nang Delegation of National Assembly (NA) Deputies and the municipal People's Council on Thursday morning made donations to support the country's efforts against COVID-19.

Municipal Party Committee Deputy Secretary cum municipal People's Council Chairman Luong Nguyen Minh Triet, one of the city’s high-ranking leaders, was amongst the donators at the Thursday ceremony to launch an appeal to raise money for the country's fight against COVID-19 . 

The staff members were encouraged to donate at least their one-day pay, thus contributing to the purchase of medical equipment and supporting frontline forces in the tough fight against the virus resurgence.

Their donations demonstrate a sense of responsibility toward the community, and significantly support the nation’s effort in containing COVID-19.

For the time being, the Da Nang Fatherland Front Committee is still calling on individuals, organisations and businesses inside and outside the city to make generous donations to COVID-19 Vaccine Fund.

The Fund aims to receive funding from domestic and foreign organisations and individuals, as well as other legal capital sources for the COVID-19 vaccine procurement and import, research and production in the country, and the provision of vaccines for people.
