The Da Nang People's Council convened today (June 25) to elect the city’s top leadership positions. The 10^th Da Nang People's Council (2021-2026) will hold elections for the Chairman and Vice Chairpersons of the municipal People's Council, the Chairman and Vice Chairpersons of the municipal People's Committee, the heads and deputy heads of the municipal People's Council, members of the municipal People's Committee, jurors of the municipal and district-level People's Courts.

The Da Nang People's Council will re-elect the leaders to confirm their mandate for the 2021-2026 term.

The participants will listen to a report containing opinions and recommendations from voters to candidates for the elections of deputies to the 10^th Da Nang People's Council for for the 2021-2026 term that will be presented by a member of the Da Nang Committee of the Viet Nam Fatherland Front.  

The municipal People’s Council will consider and pass resolutions on the number of members of the municipal People’s Council's Committee, the organisation of regular meetings of the municipal People’s Council in 2021, the establishment of a group to monitor the implementation of the master plan for Da Nang’s major developments to 2030, with a vision to 2045.

In addition, resolutions on budget allocation from the city’s government to authorities in districts and wards from July 1, 2021 in accordance with the new urban administration model in Da Nang, the investment policy for public projects of Group C, list of works and projects that require the revocation of land in 2021, adjustments to investment policy for Yen river emergency anti-erosion embankment project (a section from downstream of An Trach Dam - Yen River Bridge - T-juction Cam Le River) will be adopted at this session of the Da Nang People’s Council.
