The Da Nang government has issued a plan to implement the ‘Action Month for the Environment’ programme in the city from June to August 2021, with its culmination activities falling on Saturdays and Sundays.

In detail, focus will be on organising activities to widely publicising Vietnamese Law on Environmental Protection, the ‘Building Da Nang into an Environmentally-friendly City" project in the 2021 - 2030 period.

Also, heed will be paid to organising the ‘Green - Clean - Beautiful Sunday’  movement , planting more trees, properly sorting garbage at the source, collecting and treating waste, carrying out biodiversity conservation activities, managing plastic waste and responding to climate change.

Besides, competent agencies will launch the Da Nang Environmental Award in 2020 to honour typical examples of environmental protection deeds across the city, organise the programme ‘Swapping garbage for food’, and establish the network of communities participating in environmental protection in the Tho Quang fishing wharf.

Other activities will involve in promoting environmental monitoring and solid waste management and supervision, as well as implementing urgent measures in the management and protection of wild animals in the city, and organising a week of dredging drainage ditches across the city.
