The 7^th session of the Da Nang Committee of the Viet Nam Fatherland Front (VFF) in its 11^th tenure took place in the city to review the committee’s performance in the first 6 months of 2021 and identify tasks for the rest of the year.

Chairman of the Da Nang Committee of VFF Ngo Xuan Thang, said that as of June 11, more than VND 40.4 billion had been donated by organizations and individuals across the city to support the city’s efforts to fight COVID-19 in response to the Da Nang Committee of VFF’s appeal.

As of June 15, VND more than 20,447 billion had been raised from organizations and individuals in Da Nang for Fund for the Poor.

During the reviewed period, the Da Nang Committee of VFF played an important role in conducting successfully the  elections for the 15th National Assembly (NA) and People's Council at all levels for the 2021-2026 tenure across 525 polling stations in Da Nang.

Besides, the Committee called on people across the city to play their part to realise the city’s goals of economic, cultural and social development, and ensure national defense and security. The organisation has done its utmost to better protect people's legitimate rights and interests.

The Committee will continue promoting the involvement of people from all walks of life in promoting the strength of the great unity of the nation for building and safeguarding the country for the remaining months of the year.

Also at the event, Ms. Tang Hoang Hon Tham who is former Vice Chairwoman of the Da Nang Women's Union was elected and appointed as the Vice Chairwoman of the Da Nang Committee of VFF for the 2019-2024 term.
