Da Nang leaders pay tribute to martyrs
A group of Da Nang leaders, led by Mr Luong Nguyen Minh Triet, the Deputy Secretary of the municipal Party Committee and Chairman of the municipal People's Council, on Tuesday morning, offered incense and laid wreaths in tribute to heroic martyrs at the 2 September Peace Monument and the city’s Martyrs' Cemetery to mark the 74nd anniversary of the War Invalids and Martyrs' Day (27 July).

The participants observed a minute’s silence to commemorate late President Ho Chi Minh, the heroic martyrs who laid down their lives for the nation’s re-unification, the Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, and those who gave great service to the national revolution.
In front of the hallowed memorial to the heroic martyrs, Da Nang leaders vowed that the government and people of Da Nang will forever remember the service and sacrifice made by the heroic martyrs for Viet Nam's independence and reunion, as well as continue to uphold their consensus and solidarity, and do their utmost to make Da Nang even more civilised and prosperous in the years ahead.
