The third session of the Da Nang People’s Council in its 10^th tenure for the 2021-2026 term convened today, September 1. The 10^th municipal People's Council elected, at its third session on Friday morning, two new vice chairpersons of the municipal People's Committee for the next five years, and the city’s newly-appointed leaders are Mr Tran Phuoc Son and Ms. Ngo Thi Kim Yen.

Mr. Tran Phuoc Son was born on September 2, 1972, and his hometown is Duy Chau Commune, Duy Xuyen District, Quang Nam province. He has the following qualifications: Master’s Degree in Development Economics, bachelor's degree in Economics and Management, and advanced-level ideological and political theory training.

Mr. Son is former Director of the municipal Department of Planning and Investment, and then held a Secretary position in the Lien Chieu District Party Committee in November 2020.

Mrs. Ngo Thi Kim Yen was born on September 19, 1969, and her hometown is Hoa Tien Commune, Hoa Vang District, Da Nang. She has the following qualifications: Master’s Degree in Health Economics, bachelor's degree in medicine; and advanced-level ideological and political theory training.

Mrs Yen is a member of the National Assembly deputies' delegation of Da Nang in its 15^th tenure. She was appointed as Director of the municipal Department of Health in July 2015.
