The Western Ring Road No.2 project with a length of 14.3 km passing through Hoa Vang, Lien Chieu and Cam Le districts belongs to a large-scale Da Nang transport infrastructure improvement project,

The project is getting underway from 2020 - 2022 with a total investment capital of over US$ 61.37 million, of which US$ 45 million is loaned by OFID ( the OPEC Fund for International Development), whilst about 16.37 million US$ comes from Viet Nam’s reciprocal capital allocated through the Da Nang budget.

This project consists of 2 components, namely the Western Ring Road No.2 and a road associated with a bridge over the Co Co River.

This project aims to boost access to employment opportunities and social amenities, ultimately supporting socioeconomic development and benefiting over one million people directly.

While working with the management boards of the Hoa Lien Water Supply Plant and DT 601 route projects, Chairman Chinh urged relevant agencies to re-check the capacity of projects’ contractors. If contractors do not have enough capacity to ensure on-schedule progress, they will not be eligible to join in other biddings in the city in the future.

Work began on the 1st stage of the Hoa Lien Water Plant in Hoa Vang District, Da Nang on March 25, 2020. Up to now, around 70% of the construction work has been completed, in which such items as weirs and reinforced concrete spillway, having been already completed.

As for the renovation of DT 601 road running through Hoa Lien, Hoa Son and Hoa Bac communes in Hoa Vang District with a total length of 35,681 km, to date, 619 out of the total 919 affected families have been moved off the project’s site.
