Over the past 5 years, the exchanges of Da Nang-Cambodia high-level delegations were conducted on a regular basis, creating a strong driving force for the development of the friendship relations between the two localities as well as for seeking cooperation opportunities in such aspects as people-to-people diplomacy, culture, education and training.

Da Nang signed many cooperation agreements with Battambang and Siem Reap provinces of Cambodia in the fields of investment, trade, education, etc. Especially, the opening of the direct flights connecting Da Nang with Siem Reap and Phnom Penh, and tourism connection activities through the East-West Economic Corridor, helped to promote the bilateral between the two countries.

The information was released by the Da Nang Chapter of the Viet Nam - Cambodia Friendship Association at its 2^nd Congress for the 2021-2026 tenure.

In the coming term, the unit will focus on consolidating and expanding its partner network with Cambodia, and promoting peace, friendship and solidarity through commemorative activities of the two countries.

Heed will be paid to improving the efficiency of non-governmental aid under the form of mobilizing Da Nang universities and businesses to offer scholarships to Cambodian students in the locality, as well as enhancing the quality of research and external information activities in order to strengthen solidarity, friendship and cooperation between the two sides.

Also at the event, 19 members of the Executive Board of the Da Nang Chapter of the Viet Nam - Cambodia Friendship Association were elected, with Mr Trinh Thanh Sau being re-elected Chairman for the 2021-2026 tenure.
