State President: Making the best effort to protect people's health
On Wednesday afternoon, State President Nguyen Xuan Phuc visited the Da Nang Hospital and the city-based Hospital C.

He was accompanied by Secretary of the Da Nang Party Committee cum Head of the municipal National Assembly Deputies’ delegation Nguyen Van Quang, Editor-in-Chief of the Nhan Dan (People) Newspaper Le Quoc Minh, and Deputy Secretary of the Da Nang Party Committee cum Chairman of the municipal People’s Council Luong Nguyen Minh Triet.
During his working with leaders of the Hospital C, President Phuc praised the hospital’s medical staff for their solidarity to successfully fulfill the tasks assigned by the Vietnamese Ministry of Health, and their great contributions to treating COVID-19 patients in the city, and localities in Central Viet Nam and Central Highlands as a whole.
The President also acknowledged the hospital’s efforts in applying advanced science and technology in the field of cardiovascular and surgical treatment, thereby affirming its role as a central hospital in Da Nang.

On behalf of the Party and State leaders, Mr Phuc gave spiritual encouragement to the hospital’s staff. He suggested the hospital continue to uphold their gained achievements, invest into facilities, and select and train quality medical workers to contribute in-depth expertise to the city’s healthcare sector, especially the medical examination and treatment for senior officials of Central Viet Nam and for the people of Da Nang.
He also asked the city leaders to pay more attention and give more active support to the hospital in the coming time.
Currently, the Hospital C has a total of more than 700 medical workers, more than 750 hospital beds, and lots of modern equipment.
In 2021, the Hospital C sent 9 medical teams to the northern and southern provinces to support them in their fights against COVID-19, along with 5 others to support field hospitals in Da Nang.

When visiting the Da Nang Hospital, President Phuc affirmed that the hospital was the leading medical facility in Central Viet Nam and Central Highlands.
He highly appreciated the remarkable change of the hospital over the past years from facilities to medical expertise. He also acknowledged the hospital’s important contributions to the COVID-19 treatment with its effective treatment regimens and minimizing the number of COVID-related deaths.
The State official proposed building the Da Nang Hospital into a highly specialized medical facility, thereby promoting the application of information technology to create the most favourable conditions for patient examination and treatment. He urged the hospital to continue to do well in the treatment of COVID-19 patients with the goal of reducing critically ill patients and minimizing deaths.
“With a team of highly-qualified medical professionals, I believe that the Da Nang Hospital will continue to perform well the tasks assigned by the health sector, and make the best efforts to protect the health of the people”, emphasized President Phuc.
