An array of exciting activities have been already organised across Da Nang to mark the 91st founding anniversary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (March 26), and respond to the Youth Month 2022.

Specifically, on Sunday, the Youth Union organisations of the Da Nang Hi-Tech Parks and Industrial Parks, the municipal Border Guard, and Thanh Khe District together carried out the ‘March of Border - Islands’ programme.

During the programme, the organisers donated 500 litres of oil to 10 poor fishermen in a bid to encourage them to continue going out to sea for fishing trips, and gave gifts to 10 former youth volunteers living in difficult circumstances.

Also, there was an exchange activity between border guards, fishermen and youth union members, which helped to educate the young about the love and responsibility for protecting the country’s sovereignty over its sea and islands. Then, all participants cleared up rubbish along Nguyen Tat Thanh Street.

Also on the same day, as many as 60 child contestants competed in the Da Nang Children's Palace-hosted Chess Tournament for Children 2022.

As part of the ‘We always stay here with you, Mother’ programme, on Saturday, the Standing Board of the municipal Youth Union visited and presented gifts to heroic Vietnamese mothers Pham Thi Lieu, residing in Hoa Quy Ward, Ngu Hanh Son District, and Dang Thi Thanh in La Bong Village, Hoa Tien Commune, Hoa Vang District.

Also within the framework of the programme, in March, 26 units under the municipal Youth Union, along with representatives of government departments and agencies citywide, will visit and give gifts to heroic Vietnamese mothers in the city.

Most recently, the municipal Youth Union has launched a dance contest themed ‘Dance for you'. The event aims to create a healthy playground for young people citywide to show off their dance talent.

The final round of the contest is slated to take place on April 8 at an outdoor stage at a public park on the western end of the Rong (Dragon) Bridge.
