Religious believers, dignitaries actively contribute to Da Nang's process

The inspection team of the Central Project Steering Committee on Friday worked with the Da Nang Party Committee on the religious situation in the city.

Vice President of the Viet Nam Fatherland Front Central Committee Ngo Sach Thuc and Standing Deputy Secretary of the Da Nang Party Committee cum Chairman of the municipal People's Council Luong Nguyen Minh Triet co-chaired the meeting.

As reported by the municipal Party Committee for Mass Mobilisation, over the past years, religious dignitaries, practitioners, and followers in the city have accompanied and supported the implementation of socio- economic development guidelines and policies and strictly implementing the motto of ‘ensuring good secular and religious life’.

In particular, they actively participated in the election of deputies to the National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels for the 2021-2026 term.

Notably, they also joined efforts with other local residents in the city’s fight against COVID-19, donated hundreds of millions of VND to the city's COVID-19 vaccine fund, supported many valuable medical artifacts and equipment and a large number of necessities for the frontline forces against the pandemic, the city's COVID-19 quarantine, isolation and treatment areas, and gave donations to disadvantaged and vulnerable people in society.

In addition, religious dignitaries and followers have well performed social welfare activities such as giving financial support to the building of new houses and the repairing of downgraded ones for poor households, and presented thousands of gifts to the disadvantaged citywide.

Also, social security and order, traffic safety, urban beauty, environmenrtal protection and contributing to building cultural lifestyle in residential areas have been ensured.
