The Da Nang Party Committee hosted a working session with Mr Nguyen Hong Son, the Deputy Head of the Party Central Committee's Economic Commission, on Tuesday to disscuss plans for a review meeting on the implementation of of the Politburo’s Resolution No. 39 on major orientations for socio-economic development and ensuring national defence and security in North Central Coast and the Central Coast region to 2010, along with a semimar about such topics to 2030 with a vision to 2045 which is slated to take place in Da Nang on on August 5.

Da Nang’s leaders consisting of Mr Luong Nguyen Minh Triet,  the Deputy Secretary of the municipal Party Committee and Chairman of the municipal People's Council, and Mr Ho Ky Minh, the Vice Chairman of the municipal People's Committee attended the working session.

The seminar aims to discuss ways to promote economic development while ensuring ensuring national defence and security in North Central Coast and the Central Coast region to 2030, with a vision to 2045. In addition, discussions will focus on the domestic and international contexts, challenges and opportunities for development cooperation in North Central Coast to 2030, with a vision to 2045, tasks and solutions for developing Da Nang into one of the major socio-economic centres of Viet Nam and Southeast Asia by 2030, with a vision to 2045, and more.

The seminar will provide the opportunity for Da Nang and other regional localities to discuss and find best ways to boost their cooperation in order to drive growth in the whole region, Mr Son said.

On behalf of Da Nang's leaders, municipal Party Committee Deputy Secretary Luong Nguyen Minh Triet thanked the Party Central Committee's Economic Commission for its active support given to Da Nang during its development process.

Mr Triet took the opportunity to ask for continued support from the Party Central Committee's Economic Commission, ministries and national government agencies to help Da Nang set appropriate goals linked to socioeconomic development and achieve them in the coming time.
