Da Nang leaders offer incense in tribute to national revolutionary martyrs
Deputy Secretary of the Da Nang Party Committee and Chairman of the municipal People's Council Luong Nguyen Minh Triet, Deputy Secretary of the municipal Party Committee and Chairman of the municipal People's Committee Le Trung Chinh along with representatives of local depatments and agencies offered incense and flowers to pay tribute to fallen soldiers at the Truong Son National Martyrs Cemetery and the Road 9 National Martyrs' Cemetery, both in Quang Tri Province, on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27).
The participants observed a minute’s silence to pay their respects to late President Ho Chi Minh and the heroic martyrs who laid down their lives for the nation’s re-unification.
The Truong Son Cemetery is the final resting place for more than 10,200 Vietnamese soldiers who died during the American War in Viet Nam, 41 of whom were from Quang Nam - Da Nang while more than 10,800 Vietnamese revolutionary martyrs were laid to rest at the Road 9 Cemetery.
