On the occasion of the upcoming Mid-Autumn Festival, the Da Nang Women's Union (WU) has organised the ‘Mid-Autumn Festival for children’ programme and presented gifts, scholarships and bicycles to orphans under the ‘Godmothers’ programme.

The event’s organisers presented gifts, worth VND600,000 each, to 116 orphan, and granted 10 scholarships and the same number of bicycles with a total value of VND26 million to orphans living in difficult circumstances with outstanding academic results.

As revealed by Ms. Hoang Thi Thu Huong, the Chairwoman of the municipal Women's Union, till date, her agency have called on organisations and individuals to provide care and support totalling nearly VND10 billion for 333 orphans during the current 2022 - 2026 period with a support level at VND 500,000/month/child.
