State President Nguyen Xuan Phuc visits flood-affected families in Da Nang
State President Nguyen Xuan Phuc on Wednesday afternoon visited and presented gifts to family of Mrs. Do Thi Thanh Hoa living in Thach Nham Dong village, Hoa Nhon Commune, Hoa Vang District, Da Nang as her family’s house completely collapsed after heavy rain battered the city on October 14.

State President Nguyen Xuan Phuc was accompanied by Deputy Prime Minister Le Van Thanh, Da Nang Party Committee Secretary Nguyen Van Quang, and municipal People's Committee Chairman Le Trung Chinh.
President Nguyen Xuan Phuc visited Mrs. Do Thi Thanh Hoa's family and encouraged her family to overcome difficulties to stablise their lives. Mr Phuc asked Hoa Vang District authorities and Da Nang government, along with relevant agencies and organizations to make concerted efforts to support Mrs Hoa's family and other flood-affected ones to help them soon stabilize their lives.
Mr Phuc asked government and residents of Da Nang to remain vigilant with severe weather conditions, thereby urging them to take all necessary precautionary safety measures to ensure the safety of local people and protect their property from bad weather.
On the same day, President Nguyen Xuan Phuc conducted a field visit to a landslide point at a section of Hoang Sa Street leading to the Son Tra Peninsula. He called on the Da Nang government to speed up the flood recovery efforts to ensure traffic safety for local residents.
