Da Nang and national government leaders attend National Great Unity Day
National Assembly Vice Chairman Tran Quang Phuong, Vice Chairman of the Viet Nam Fatherland Front Central Committee Nguyen Huu Dung, Chairman of the Da Nang Fatherland Front Committee Ngo Xuan Thang, municipal People's Committee Vice Chairwoman Ngo Thi Kim Yen, and Head of the municipal Party Committee’s Organisation Board Nguyen Dinh Vinh, on Saturday, attended the National Great Unity Day 2022 at two residential groups No. 17 and 18, Khue Trung Ward, Cam Le District, Da Nang, to mark the 92nd anniversary of Traditional Day of Vietnam Fatherland Front (November 18).

In his remarks at the event, NA Vice Chairman Tran Quang Phuong acknowledged and highly lauded the two residential groups for their great efforts in gaining many socio-economic achievements, and ensuring security, order and environmental protection, thereby contributing to enhancing the living standards of local residents.
Two residential areas have only 8 poor households and 4 near-poor households according to the city’s poverty standards. The residential areas have promoted the tradition of mutual love and affection, and helped each other in times of difficulty and tribulation.
They together contributed VND22 million to the city’s ‘Fund for the Poor’, and completed 100% of the mobilisation funds among the people, and non-agricultural land use tax. 100% of young people in the age of military service obeyed the order. There are no bad boys and girls and no school-age children who can't go to school.
Mr. Phuong took the opportunity to encourage the two residential groups to promote good examples, well implement the emulation movements, and organize many practical activities to build an increasingly united, attached, civilized, peaceful and developed residential communities.
On this occasion, the Viet Nam Fatherland Front Central Committee presented gifts of cash and in-kind, worth VND11 million each, to two residential groups, as well as 10 gifts, valued at VND1.2 million each, to 10 poor social policy and disadvantaged households. The Da Nang Fatherland Front Committee gave 5 gifts, worth VND500,000 each, to typical local households.
