During his reception for the Laotian visitors, Da Nang People’s Committee Chairman Le Trung Chinh expressed his delight at a series of high-ranking delegation exchanges, and cooperative programmes in many spheres, between Da Nang and south central provinces of Laos, including Sekong Province, over recent years.

The host hoped that the two localities will continue to strengthen bilateral cooperation in various fields and conduct high-ranking delegation exchanges in the coming time.

“Da Nang will continue to support Sekong Province during its development journey, thereby tightening the special traditional relationships of the two localities according to the wishes of the forebears" emphasised Chairman Chinh.

In reply, Secretary and Governor of Sekong Province Lekalay Sivilay thanked the city leader for his respectful reception, as well as Da Nang for its active assistance given for his locality over recent years in various fields.

The Lao guest noted that the purpose of his visit was to accelerate the progress of cooperation between the two localities as signed for the 2023-2027 period.

He also took the opportunity to ask for support from Da Nang’s leaders to create favourable conditions for his province to open a trade center and organise an exhibition fair in the city in the near future.

He, also, hoped that the municipal authorities will facilitate Sekong Province to rent a warehouse in the city to store petroleum imported from other countries, as well as for Laos to export goods to Da Nang and other third countries as well.
