Da Nang leader congratulates Military Zone 5 on 78th founding anniversary of Viet Nam People's Army

On Thursday, Da Nang Party Committee Secretary Nguyen Van Quang visited and congratulated the Military Zone 5 High Command on the occasion of the 78th founding anniversary of the Viet Nam People’s Army and the 33rd anniversary of the Whole People’s Defence Festival Day (December 22).

Congratulating the Military Zone 5 on its outstanding achievement over the past year, Secretary Quang highly praised the unit for its important role in promoting the socio-economic development, and ensuring national defence and security of localities, including Da Nang.

He remarked the active support and assistance of the Military Zone 5 has enhanced the fine tradition of the Viet Nam People's Army and promoted the good image of Uncle Ho's soldiers, thereby building public trust and confidence towards the armed forces of Military Zone 5 in general and the armed forces of the city in particular.

The city Party chief Quang sent to the Commander, Political Commissar, leaders and all officers and soldiers of Military Zone 5 best wishes for health and happiness, asking them to continue upholding their gained achievements in 2023 and the next years.

He expressed his desire that the Military Zone 5 will continue to stand side by side with the city in driving its socio-economic development, and guaranteeing defence and security.

On behalf of the leaders of Military Zone 5, Lt. Gen. Thai Dai Ngoc, Commander of Military Zone 5, thanked the Party Committee, the government and the people of the city for their active support and special affection for the armed forces of Military Zone 5.

Lt. Gen. Thai Dai Ngoc asked for more support from the municipal authorities to successfully complete all assigned tasks. At the same time, he promised to continue to accompany and support the city in all aspects of work.
