Da Nang Party Committee Secretary Nguyen Van Quang, on Thursday afternoon, visited and congratulated the Diocese of Da Nang on the occasion of the upcoming Christmas.

On behalf of the city leaders, Secretary Quang extended Christmas and New Year greetings to Bishop of the Da Nang Diocese Dang Duc Ngan and Catholic followers.

He also informed about the city’s socio-economic development, attributing common achievements partly to contributions made by Bishop Dang Duc Ngan in particular, and local Catholics in general.

The city Party chief took the opportunity to call on Catholic followers to continue upholding the motto of “living the gospel, serving the Christ, and serving the Fatherland and the people” so as to greatly contribute to the city’s development and construction progress.

Bishop Dang Duc Ngan thanked the city leader for visiting and congratulating the Diocese of Da Nang on the occasion of Christmas 2022, expressing his excitement at the city’s outstanding results in the past year.

He pledged that he will further encourage Catholics to stay united and actively participate in patriotic emulation movements to contribute to the city’s socio-economic development and defence - security safeguarding.
