Vice Chairman Ho Ky Minh informed that Da Nang has been focusing on developing seaports and Da Nang International Airport in order to form a supply chain of logistics services in Central Viet Nam, thereby step by step building the city into an important traffic hub for domestic and international transshipment.

The favourable geographic position of being located on the East-West Economic Corridor makes it convenient for both Da Nang and Thailand to implement cooperation programmes in economy, trade, tourism, culture, education and information technology, the host added.

As for tourism, Da Nang has resumed an international air route connecting Da Nang with Bangkok, hereby greatly contributing to promoting trade, economic, tourism and cultural cooperation between the two cities and two countries.

Mr. Minh hoped that the bilateral cooperation relationships between Da Nang and Thailand will be further fostered, and more Thai investors will arrive in Da Nang to seek investment and cooperation opportunities, in the coming time.

In reply, Mr. Paijit Sreewaranka thanked the city leader for the thoughtful reception and wished to act as a bridge to further promote cooperation between Da Nang and Thai partners and businesses in the near future. This will contribute to promoting cooperation and people-to-people exchanges, and expanding and improving the efficiency of cooperation between Viet Nam and Thailand in general, and Da Nang and Thai localities in particular.
