A group of leaders of Sekong Province, Laos, led by Deputy Secretary and Chairman of the provincial People's Council DongPhet Phanhon, paid a pre-Tet visit to Da Nang on Friday afternoon.

During his meeting with Lao guests, Da Nang People's Council Vice Chairman Tran Phuoc Son thanked the leaders of Sekong Province for visiting and extend Tet wishes to Da Nang.

He remarked that 2022 was a special importance year for Laos and Viet Nam as the two countries celebrated the 60^th founding anniversary of Viet Nam-Laos diplomatic relations and the 45^th anniversary of the signing of the bilateral Treaty of Amity and Cooperation.

He affirmed that, in the coming time, Da Nang would continue to support the development of Sekong Province, thereby tightening the special traditional relationships of the two parties and two states.

In reply, Deputy Secretary, Chairman of the Sekong provincial People's Council DongPhet Phanhon thanked Da Nang’s leaders for their warm welcome and active support and assistance for his locality over the past time.

The Laotian guest took the opportunity to wish the Party, government and people of Da Nang city to have all the best in the lunar new year 2023.
