Newly-accredited South Korean Consul General hands consular authentication to leader of Department of Foreign Affairs

Mr. Kang Boo Sung, the newly-accredited Consul General of South Korea in Da Nang, on Thursday morning, paid a courtesy visit, and handed a consular authentication which was issued by the Vietnamese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, to leader of the Da Nang Department of Foreign Affairs.

Director of the municipal Department of Foreign Affairs Huynh Duc Truong congratulated Mr. Kang Boo Sung on his new position, expressing his delight at the comprehensive cooperation relationships between Viet Nam and South Korea in many aspects.

He added Da Nang has set up friendship and cooperation relations with three South Korean localities of Changwon, Daegu and Hwaseong. He expressed his desire that, in the time to come, the city will establish cooperative relationships with other South Korean localities in order to facilitate the cultural exchange and economic development activities.

Director Truong remarked Da Nang was an attractive investment destination for foreign investors, including those from South Korea. Also, the city rose to fame as an ideal investment and tourism destination for South Korean enterprises and residents.

The host believed that Mr. Kang Boo Sung will complete his assigned tasks, as well as continue to cultivate and foster the bilateral friendship with Da Nang, and Viet Nam as a whole.

For his part, newly-accredited South Korean Consul General expressed his honour to accept the assignment in Da Nang.

He pledged to continue to make practical contributions to fostering the bilateral cooperation relations between Da Nang and South Korean localities in many fields in the coming time.

He also took the opportunity to ask for support from the municipal Department of Foreign Affairs to help him fulfill his tasks well during his tenure in the city.
