Newly-accredited South Korean Consul General pays courtesy visits to Da Nang leaders

Mr. Kang Boo Sung, the newly-accredited Consul General of South Korea in Da Nang, on Friday afternoon, paid courtesy visits to some of the city’s leaders.

During his reception for the South Korean diplomat, municipal Party Committee Secretary Nguyen Van Quang congratulated the guest on his new position, expressing his belief that the bilateral cooperation relations between Viet Nam and South Korea in general, Da Nang and Korean localities in particular, will be further lifted to a new height.

He asked for support from Mr. Kang Boo Sung to call on more investors from his country to invest in Da Nang’s priority aspects such as hi-tech and information technology.

The Da Nang Party chief took the opportunity to wish the new Consul General of the South Korea in Da Nang a healthy and successful lunar new year.

When receiving Mr. Kang Boo Sung, municipal People’s Council Chairman Luong Nguyen Minh Triet believed that the South Korean diplomat would  do his utmost to promote the image of Da Nang to citizens in his country.

Mr. Triet also affirmed that the municipal People’s Council would continue to take more solutions to further promote the cooperation relationships between Da Nang and South Korean localities in the coming time.

Meanwhile, municipal People’s Committee Chairman Le Trung Chinh asked for help from Mr. Kang Boo Sung to support Da Nang to promote its tourism images, and appeal for more South Korean investors to invest in the city.

He vowed that the city will create all conditions for South Korean citizens to work, live, and study safely in the locality.

Chairman of the municipal Fatherland Front Committee Ngo Xuan Thang pledged that his unit is willing to participate in the activities held by the Consulate General of South Korea in Da Nang, thereby contributing to tightening the cooperation relationships between the two countries, as well as between Da Nang and Korean localities.

For his part, the newly-accredited diplomat pledged to call on more businesses from his country to invest in the city in the coming time.

He expressed his desire that the city leaders will create more favorable conditions and remove difficulties for South Korean businesses, as well as give more active support for Korean tourists, especially in terms of security and safety.
